罕見疾病屬重大傷病範圍項目，就
醫時可免除部分負擔，衛生福利部
公告的罕見疾病種類有

見疾病之醫療費用約
24.78
億元，
其中藥品費用約為
22.04
億元。
為保障罕見疾病患者的權益，凡是
經衛生福利部公告的罕見疾病必用
藥品，全民健保均予全額支付。

為照顧罕見疾病患者，凡經通過列
為罕見疾病患者治療藥品，皆主動
並加速收載於「全民健康保險藥物
給付項目及支付標準」列入給付，
使罕見疾病患者受到應有的照顧，
減輕醫療照護的負擔。
C. People with rare diseases:
1.
Individuals with rare diseases, which are uniformly
categorized “catastrophic illnesses,” are exempt from
making co-payments for treatment of their condition.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare now officially
recognizes 197 different rare diseases, and 8,854 rare
disease cards were in use as of the end of December
2012.
A total of NT$2.48 billion was spent to treat rare
diseases in 2012, of which NT$2.20 billion was for
medication. To safeguard patients’ rights, any drugs
listed by theMinistry of Health andWelfare as necessary
for the treatment of a specific rare disease will be fully
covered by the NHI system.

Any drugs approved for treatment of rare diseases
and their reimbursement standard must be listed
expeditiously in the benefit package covered by the NHI
system. This policy ensures that rare disease sufferers get
the care they are entitled to in a timely manner and keeps
the financial burden of the care they receive as light as
possible.
