描述得很生動，而女兒為牛接生，完全體驗到整個過程。
她說：「
I helped a cow give birth yesterday. :D Dude, you remember the
James Herriot books? I HOOKED MY FINGERS INTO THE CALF'S
EYE SOCKET. YOU CAN TOTALLY DO THAT. THE CALF IS FINE
AFTERWARDS, EVEN. And the men tied ropes around its hooves and
pulled it out, and it was all slimy and disgusting and really, really cool! And
the cow ate the afterbirth and umbilical cord. CANNIBALISM. lol.
」
和
James Herriot
小說不同之處是，印度獸醫在河畔處理刮刀上
的污穢。她說
:
「
What's so awesome about the river then? Scrapers as
in things that look like the teppanyaki kyang-kyang-kyang things, except
crappy and rusty and the vet's assistant uses them to scrape up the cow dung
and plop it over the side of the concrete platform.
」
