In 2012, American cable news network CNN presented
a special report comparing the strengths and weaknesses of the
health insurance systems of Taiwan, Britain, and Switzerland
and discussing how the experiences of the three countries
could be applied to reform the health insurance system in the
U.S. The report explained that the NHI program, launched
in 1995, is a universal health insurance program in which the
government acts as the sole insurer. It concluded that Taiwan's
NHI program has been a success over the years by delivering
high standards of care, keeping costs down, and enabling the
insured to receive comprehensive health care.

制成功的醫療系統，讓全民受到完善之醫
療照護。
